Holmes Plays Dylan, Young, Kelly and More

Throughout 25 years as a performing musician, in bands, solo and in the studio, I’ve always loved playing other peoples’ music. They aren’t ‘covers’ if you really mean what your singing. Most recently I’ve really settled into playing solo acoustic and electric versions of my song writing heroes; Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Paul Kelly and a select few that follow their trail.

About Dylan, Young, Kelly and more:

Dylan set the standard. Young took it further out. Kelly brought it home. Their music is both timeless and urgent, peerless and relatable. I don’t have Dylan’s swagger, Young’s ragged glory, or Kelly’s acid wit. But I have my love of the music and a desire to bring it to life, fleeting vibrant life.
